How I got here
🔬 7 Years Research → Self-Taught Developer
Spent seven years as a Senior Research Specialist at Altrata-BoardEx, extracting structured data from 1,200+ German corporate annual reports. While doing that, I taught myself Python entirely on my own initiative — automating the repetitive parts of my own job before anyone asked me to.
🚀 From Scripts to Production Systems
That first crawler led to freelance Python work, then full production deployments — Django apps, FastAPI backends, Docker, AWS EC2, Celery/Redis schedulers, GitHub Actions CI/CD. Every project was built independently, delivered to real clients, and deployed live.
The pattern that defines me: I don't wait to be taught. I learned German by myself and passed the B1 exam. I learned Python by myself and shipped production code. I moved to Bournemouth and built a platform to solve my own job search problem.
Teaching myself new technology — without being asked — is the defining characteristic of how I work.
